PRAKSIS SUPPORT
The program is financed by the company MAC and through
MAC AIDS FUND. The purpose of this program is to provide
psychosocial support to HIV positive individuals as well as to
people who live with the virus. Through the program, PRAKSIS
executives provide counseling in social, welfare and profes-
sional issues as well as law counseling in Athens and Thessa-
loniki. They also provide AIDS-related medical counseling and
support.
The particular project has been financed for a second time by
the MAC AIDS FUND. From the previous round of financing, 314
cases had been assisted through the program, some of which
continue to be monitored by program professionals. In 2013,
there were 257 new entrants to the program.
In addition, in the course of the project, HIV positive prisoners in
the “Saint Paul” Prison Hospital receive assistancethrough the
interventions carried out by PRAKSIS social scientists.
Through 31/12/2013, 257 people were served through the pro-
gram.
