LOCAL ACTIONS FOR THE SOCIAL
INTEGRATIONOF VULNERABLE GROUPS
TOPEKO, the local actions of social integration for vulnerable
groups are implemented under the framework of action 3: “Lo-
cal action of social integration for vulnerable groups of the cat-
egory of intervention 1: “Prevention and confrontation of the
social exclusion of vulnerable teams of the population” of the
Thematic Axis Priority 4: “Complete integration of the total of
human resources in a society of equal opportunities”, of the
operational program“Development of Human Resources 2007-
2013” that is co-financed from the European Social Fund and
the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Welfare. The financ-
ing of the programs is entirely from public expenditure and de-
rives from Community and National Resources, of the program
of Public Resources.
The implemented programs have as a goal the attraction, selec-
tion, preparation and promotion of employment of the unem-
ployed at the local level, through the creation and operation of
social cooperatives, individual enterprises and jobs in existing
businesses.
The program is directed toward people who are unemployed,
registered in the unemployment registers of OAED and belong-
ing to vulnerable social groups. It offers them the chance:

To acquire the primary required professional skills in the
training subjects,
•
To develop professional skills in new subjects,
•
To be placed in the labor market with the acquisition of ad-
ditional communication and social skills.
