Working Group for Social Rights
The Working Group is an the initiative of the UNHCR in
cooperation with NGOsaddressing the social rights of
refugees.
Alliance against Poverty
Alliance against Poverty constitutesa dynamic forum of
thirty-three – until now – Greek organizations that was
created as a response to GCAP (Global Call To Action
Against Poverty), the largest campaign that has ever been
made by organizations and civil society from all over the
world for the termination of poverty and for a fairer and
more humane world. Alliance, by uniting its powers with
the global movement for the fight against universal pov-
erty and inequality, focuses its action on four axes: 1.
adoption of fair international transactions; 2. increase of
the quantity and upgrading the quality of the humanitar-
ian assistance; 3. immediate cancellation of debt of poor
countries 4. emergency actions for confronting climate
change.
Network of Carriers
Participants include: KETHEA Mosaic, PRAKSIS, ARSIS,
Network for the Rights of the Child, One Child One World,
the NGO “Medical intervention”- MEDIN, the Center of
Child Support, ΚΨΥ of the Sotiria Hospital, and the Cent-
er for Addiction Prevention and Health Education “Athina
Health”. The network seeks to cover the needs that arise
due to the crisis, through the distribution of information
for the actions of participating entities and the wider audi-
ence. At present, it has organized one meeting that was
addressed to school directors and had as an aim to pre-
sent the organizations that compose the Network.
Group for Citizenship
The Group for Citizenship monitors the developments
in the controversial issue of citizenship-naturalization in
Greece which became more complex after the decision of
the Council of the State regarding the anti-constitutionali-
ty of the law 3838/10. Various organizations, for example,
the Hellenic Union for the Rights of Man, the Network for
Political and Social Rights, and others, as well as political
entities,try to highlight the issue and its consequences in
the everyday life of immigrants and their children.
Campaign 800 NGO
PRAKSIS participates in the campaign of 800 NGO for
Syntagma
Babel 10-16
PRAKSISparticipates in this informal network that was
created by the organizations that are active in the center
of Athens. Its goal is to provide information and effective
interventions by utilizing the dynamism and solidarity of
the neighborhood in order to be able to meet their needs.
