Christmas celebration for the children
of immigrants / ROUF Court
An interactive children’ celebration in cooperation with the club
of Nigerian Women of Greece for the children of the immigrants
and the families that are accommodated in PRAKSIS shelters.
The celebration was held in the ROUF basketball court with the
assistance of volunteers of the team Baby Feet and the support
of DEPA.
12th Celebration of Volunteerism /
TECHNOPOLIS, Gazi
With the title ”Be the change you want to see in the world,“ 50
voluntary organizations and hundreds of volunteers celebrated
their selfless efforts. The ideas of volunteering and solidarity are
further proved as indispensable elements for a vibrant, healthy
and evolving community.
FRINGE FESTIVAL/Artspace Vrisaki
During the Fringe festival organized annually in the Artspace
Vrisaki,PRAKSIS informed the public about the rapid test for
HIV. The PRAKSIS Mobile Unit was there and offered quick, free
of charge and anonymousrapid tests for HIV.
ATHENS PRIDE
PRAKSIS participated with a kiosk and information material
during the celebrations. The Mobile Unit was there and offered
quick, free of charge and anonymous rapid testing for HIV.
HIV TESTING WEEK
“Talk about HIV – do the test”
Co-organization with the Life Center and the Checkpoint of the
first European Week of HIV Testing. For a week from 10:00 a.m.
till 24.00 p.m., 1,000 test were done in the organization’s facili-
tiesand in all four Mobile Units.
Three-day exhibition POSITIVE IN LIFE for HIV/
AIDS- Technopolis, Gazi
Co-organizedwith the Center of Life and Positive Voice, PRAK-
SIS held athree-day exhibition onHIV/AIDS awareness in coop-
eration with other organizations. The event included a press
conference and march towards Monastiraki Square, the crea-
tion of a human red ribbon, and a flashmob to close the three-
day event.
UNIVERSAL DAY FOR CHILDREN’S RIGHTS/
Workshop of musical instruments
In collaboration with the Network for the Rights of the Child,
PRAKSIS held a workshop for the construction of musical in-
struments in the homeless day center in Athens. The children
from the facility danced, played and created their own musical
instruments made from recycled materials.
UNIVERSAL DAY AGAINST DRUGS/
Koumoundourou Square
In cooperation with OKANA,PRAKSIS had its Mobile Unit and
an information kiosk in Koumoundourou Square.
